ProfPrep AI-powered exam prep — professor intelligence for college students

ProfPrep launched its college course tool this week — AI-powered academic exam preparation built around professor intelligence, course-specific calibration, and academic integrity integration. This is the original ProfPrep product, and it represents the clearest expression of what the platform is built to do.

Product Overview

The college course tool is purpose-built for individual courses rather than subject areas. The differentiator is professor intelligence: before the tool ships, ProfPrep researches the specific professor — exam patterns, topic weighting, difficulty calibration, review session dynamics — and embeds that intelligence in the tool's behavior. The student opens a platform that already knows how their professor tests, not one they have to train.

Academic integrity policy from the student's institution is incorporated at the same stage. The tool operates within institutional boundaries by design, not as an afterthought.

The platform runs on the same two-layer architecture as ProfPrep's licensing products: a static layer pre-built for the professor, and an unlimited generative layer that prevents the diminishing returns of repetition. The question supply does not run out. Read more on the architecture in the ProfPrep blog or the Jesse Myers blog.

Commercial Structure

Pricing is per semester at $97 standard, $127 quantitative, and $147 graduate. New course tools are delivered within 24 to 48 hours of request — any university, any course, any professor. The on-demand build model means the addressable market is effectively every college course in the United States with a student willing to pay for preparation that is specific to their situation rather than generic to their subject.

The first live tool covers OU FIN 2303 at the University of Oklahoma. The pipeline of additional course builds will be driven by student demand and institutional partnerships.

Portfolio Context

ProfPrep now covers both academic and professional licensing preparation — five licensing categories (NCLEX-RN, NCLEX-PN, real estate, insurance producer, CDL) across more than 20,000 questions, plus the on-demand college course tool. Both product lines share the same platform architecture, the same understanding-not-memorization positioning, and the same generative layer that distinguishes ProfPrep from static prep products.

The full ProfPrep product suite is available at profprep.ai. Professional licensing prep is covered in a previous portfolio update. 2057 Holdings operates five additional portfolio companies across technology consulting, smart home automation, home security, AI professional publishing, and AI operations commercialization.
